MEDIATION TRAINING PROGRAM

June 24-27, 2008

The Mediation Training Program provides four days of comprehensive, experiential training tailored for higher education professionals wishing to learn the process, techniques and skills necessary to facilitate a traditional, stepped mediation process. Completion of training certifies that the participant has completed a thorough mediation skill curriculum backed by ASJA and is prepared to provide campus leadership through supervised mediations, advanced training requiring a mediation prerequisite, and program development.

ASJA teaches a co-mediation model, making this an ideal opportunity for participants to partner with other conflict resolution advocates from their own campuses.  Faculty will also introduce a single mediator model for consideration.  Mediation Training caps at 24 participants to ensure the quality of small group activities, personal coaching and low faculty to participant ratio, so make sure to register early, as this program has exceeded capacity every year.
